The Cars Program known as Cash for Clunkers is starting to really take hold. Even though the guidelines have not been made final by our Federal Government, there are some things that we do know. You must have owned your car for at least a year, it had to have been insured for that whole time and you have to able to drive it in to the Dealership. In order to qualify for the money, the car you are trading in must get 18 mpg or less. You can check this on the Cars.gov site.
The program is supposed to be good until November 1st. However, early estimates from our manufacturers tell us the initial 1 billion dollars to fund this program will be gone in 3 to 4 weeks. So, if you are considering the Cash for Clunkers program, you should act quickly before all the money is gone. Most manufacturers will be releasing special incentives for Cars Customers. These incentives will expire when the money is gone. The incentives are too numerous to list on this page so check out our website for the latest special offers.
I spoke with one of our vendors today and they sell liquid glass which is what we will probably use to put in the engines of the cars that are traded in under the Cars Program. When that is done, it is off to the junk yard with them.
Thank you.
