Dear Saab Owners and Customers of Brown Saab:

For some now, Saab has been trying to find an investor to purchase their company in its entirely or step in and become partners with them to effectively run Saab Motors, Inc.  We regret to inform you that they have been unsuccessful in this endeavor, and therefore, effective Monday, December 19^th, 2011 Saab has declared bankruptcy in Federal court.  This bankruptcy is not a re-organization.  Like you, we at Brown Automotive have many questions that cannot be answered at this time.  What we do know, is that Saab has suspended all factory warranties at this time. Though, there still is some question about Saab vehicles that were purchased when they were still owned by General Motors and whether or not there will be any warranty on those cars.  We do not know when the courts will have a ruling on this particular item.  We will try to keep you informed with new information as we receive it from the manufacturer.

Brown Saab has always been and will continue to be committed to servicing and maintaining your Saab.  Though it appears that there may be some issues in stocking some of the specialty Saab parts, we feel confident that we still be able to perform routine Saab maintenance and repairs.
